Hundreds huddled in the rain to enjoy the Christmas lights switch-on in Prestwich.
Coronation Street star Samia Smith, who plays Maria Connor, turned on the sparkle at the Longfield Centre, before signing autographs for fans.
Bury’s deputy mayor, Coun John Byrne, and MP for Bury South, Ivan Lewis, were also in attendance, and even Father Christmas made a special stop to bring some festive cheer.
